Evan is being interrogated by Jackie. Basically he got a problem wrong in math class, and he is looking into his past so he does not make that mistake again.

Example 1: If y is inversely proportional to x, and y=6 when x=5, find x when y=12. View the video to see how to solve.

Example 2: Suppose that w varies directly as z^2 (squared) and inversely as xy, and that w=10 when x=15, y=2, and z=5. Find z when w=2, x=8, and y=27.

Example 3: To set up the problem you need to know:
~ the measure lux is for the intensity of light. Lux is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the light source and the object illuminated.

Problem: A light meter 7.5 m from a light source registers 24 lux. What intensity would i register 15 m from the light source?
